How often should my septic tank or treatment plant be serviced? +
It depends on the type of system, how many people use it and what’s connected, but most domestic systems should be inspected at least once a year. Desludging is typically required every 12–36 months. We can confirm the right service interval for your system after an initial visit.
What are the signs that my system isn’t working properly? +
Common signs include slow draining fixtures, gurgling sounds, odours around the tank or drains, wet or soggy ground near the soakaway, high levels in chambers or pumps running constantly. If you notice any of these, it’s best to have the system checked before it fails completely.
Do you only work with commercial sites? +
No. We support both domestic and commercial customers. That includes homes, farms, estates, holiday parks, restaurants, schools, industrial units and more.
Can you help if I’m worried about compliance or Consent to Discharge? +
Yes. We can review your current setup, advise whether Consent to Discharge is required, carry out basic checks and help improve the biological performance of your system. Where needed, we can support with paperwork and Environment Agency liaison.
Do you use chemicals or hazardous products? +
Our focus is on non-hazardous, biological products wherever possible. These help maintain healthy systems and reduce environmental impact. In cases where more intensive interventions are needed, we’ll explain clearly what’s required and why.

Can you work around business hours or busy periods? +
In many cases, yes. For commercial and hospitality clients we can plan work around opening hours or quieter times to minimise disruption. Let us know your constraints and we’ll build them into the plan.
